AI workshop
Your team, actually using AI by the end of the afternoon.
A hands-on half-day. Your team leaves with at least three AI workflows running in the tools they already use, and a clear rule set for what never to paste into a chatbot.
Run by a former CTO of Travelshift / Guide to Iceland, a company ranked third in Deloitte Fast 500 EMEA. Teams leave with working AI in the tools they already use, built in the session.
Most teams are stuck, not slow.
They've heard the hype, tried ChatGPT, and read the think pieces, and still aren't sure where AI fits or whether it's safe to use at all. The bigger risk isn't moving too fast. It's teams pasting sensitive data into chatbots nobody set rules for, or writing AI into planning docs and never actually using it.
Here's the shift that matters: AI isn't a tool you buy, it's a capability your team builds. Licenses and pilots don't change how the work gets done. Building real workflows does.
So this isn't a tech course. It's the hands-on first step: one afternoon, real tools, real workflows, and a clear safety rule set your team actually understands.
Outcomes
What your team leaves with
At least three AI workflows running in your actual tools
Not demos. Not sandboxes. Workflows built during the session in the software your team uses every day.
A "what never to paste into a chatbot" rule set
Applied to your own data, in your own context, during the session. Your team leaves knowing exactly where the line is.
A simple test for what to hand to AI
Where AI saves time versus where it creates work, so your team stops automating the wrong things. Practical, not theoretical.
Time back, every week
When routine work runs through AI instead of by hand, your team gets hours back. Not someday, from the workflows they built in the session.
What's included
- The half-day session itself, on-site or remote, for up to 12 people.
- A private decision-maker debrief after the session, a standalone advisory conversation, not an upsell.
- Education-fund paperwork done for you: a paid invoice, a course description, and a participant list for your fund.
- The full outcome guarantee, in writing.
Who runs this

Sigurður Guðbrandsson, Clockwork
I co-founded Travelshift / Guide to Iceland and led the technical team as CTO for ten years. I led the team that ranked third in Deloitte Fast 500 EMEA. I cut infrastructure costs by over $660k annually and shipped more than $2M in new product. Today I run AI workshops and advisory for businesses that want results without the hype.
I still ship code. I built the system behind this site. The workshops are practical because I use these tools every day.
From a recent workshop
An engineer set up one of their real production projects as a Claude testbed. Claude handled the analysis, the development, and the testing. He kept the final deployment steps for himself. It worked, it gave him a real speed boost, and he is expanding the workflow across more of their work. He kept the riskiest step, the deploy, in human hands. That is the point.
"I set up one of our actual production projects as my Claude testbed, and it simply works. The analysis, dev work, and testing were all Claude; I kept the final deployment steps for myself. It got a real speed boost, and I'm expanding the workflow to more of our work." Michal, Engineer, DTE
Who this is for
Same workshop, same price. The examples flex to your team.
Engineering teams: Ship Faster, Safely
AI pair programming, automated code review prep, PR description drafting, test generation, incident post-mortem writing. Your engineers leave with workflows that cut the low-value work between thinking and shipping.
Outcome: PR descriptions, test scaffolds, and post-mortems drafted in minutes instead of the half-hour they take now, plus a clear line on what your code and architecture docs must never go into a model.
Knowledge-work teams: AI That Actually Works
Research synthesis, meeting prep, proposal drafting, client report production, internal documentation that people actually read. Built in your existing tools: Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, whatever your stack is.
Outcome: two to three hours a week back per person, and a team that knows how to prompt well rather than just copy-pasting.
Overwhelmed or unsure where to start: Unstuck
You've heard too much about AI and implemented too little. Your team is sceptical, or excited but scattered, or you've had one failed pilot and aren't sure what to try next. I start by mapping what's actually worth automating and what isn't.
Outcome: a clear picture of where AI fits your work, a set of running workflows, and enough confidence to keep going after the session.
Not for: teams that just want a recorded talk or keynote, teams that cannot permit any AI tool to be used during the session, or teams looking for theory instead of workflows they build and keep.
Format
How it runs
Half-day, roughly 3.5 hours including breaks. On-site or remote. Built for teams of up to 12, small enough that everyone ships something in the hands-on segment. Think of it as your first 90-day experiment, started in one afternoon.
45 min
Where AI actually pays off
Map real workflows, cut the hype, decide what is worth automating. You leave this segment with a shortlist specific to your team.
90 min
Hands-on build
Build two to three real workflows in the tools your team already uses. Everyone works, not just the tech lead.
45 min
Safety
What never to paste into a chatbot, how to keep data in-house, and the rules I use with every AI agent. Applied to your actual data and context.
30 min
Where this goes next
What to prioritize after today, and setup for the decision-maker debrief that follows the session.
One price. Everything included.
Outcome guaranteed, or I refund the fee.
Icelandic companies can typically reclaim part of the fee through their education funds (Áttin). I prepare the paperwork.
Longer workshops available on request. Remote delivery included. On-site in the capital area included. On-site outside the capital area is quoted per booking and added to the invoice.
Apply for the workshopOutcome guarantee
I guarantee the outcome. Your team leaves with at least three AI workflows running in the tools they already use. If they show up, do the exercises, and that doesn't happen, I refund the fee in full.
Participation gate: each attendee has built and run at least one workflow in a tool they actually use, and the team has completed the AI-safety exercise (the "what never to paste" rule set applied to their own data).
Prerequisites: attendees bring their own laptops and have access to their normal work tools; the company permits the agreed AI tools during the session. If a team can't meet these, I adjust scope before booking, not after.
Scope: the workshop fee only. VAT and travel expenses are not covered by the guarantee. Refund must be requested within 7 days of the workshop.
Funded bookings: bookings submitted for education-fund reimbursement are not eligible for the refund guarantee. The buyer elects one or the other at invoice time.
Education fund reimbursement (Fræðslustyrkur)
This is delivered as a course (námskeið). Icelandic companies can typically reclaim part of the fee through their employees' occupational education funds via Áttin , against my paid invoice. How much depends on which unions your team belongs to, so check with your fund. I provide a paid invoice, a course description, and a participant list formatted for the application.
The decision-maker debrief
After the workshop, I sit down privately with whoever holds the budget and the roadmap. Usually 30 minutes. I walk you through what landed, what the team actually built, and what I'd prioritize next.
This isn't a sales call. It's the bridge between "we did a workshop" and "we know what to do with it". You get a clear picture of where AI fits your specific situation, what the next investment would actually buy you, and what doesn't need AI at all.
The debrief is included in the workshop fee.
FAQ
Common questions
What does it cost?
ISK 500,000 + VAT for a half-day workshop. Longer workshops are available on request. The price includes the post-workshop decision-maker debrief.
How many people can join?
Up to 12. The hands-on segment requires everyone to actually build something, and that only works in a small group.
Is remote delivery available?
Yes. Remote is fully supported. On-site in the Reykjavík capital area is included. On-site outside the capital area is quoted per booking and added to the invoice.
What about our team's data?
Data safety is one of the four segments of the workshop. I map exactly what your team works with, draw the lines, and build the rule set in the session. You leave with a policy, not a vague caution. I don't take copies of your data and I don't send it anywhere without your instruction.
What should we prepare?
Laptops and access to the tools your team uses every day. The company needs to permit the agreed AI tools during the session. That is all. I handle the rest.
Can we use education fund reimbursement?
This is delivered as a course (námskeið). Icelandic companies can typically reclaim part of the fee through their employees' occupational education funds via Áttin, against my paid invoice. How much depends on which unions your team belongs to, so check with your fund. I provide a paid invoice, a course description, and a participant list formatted for the application.
What is the guarantee?
I guarantee the outcome. Your team leaves with at least three AI workflows running in the tools they already use. If they show up, do the exercises, and that doesn't happen, I refund the fee in full. The refund covers the workshop fee only and must be requested within 7 days. Funded bookings are not eligible.
